Car Notes |
2011.03.18 Ebay
Waterford,Mi.
I am selling my race car. This is a very nice 1996 SS Camaro with 7416 miles showing on the odometer. Now the good stuff. This car is setup for 10.5 tire or drag radial classes. Currently has 28" x 10" MT slicks. The engine is a 565 built with top quality parts. Built around a Dart Big M block and Dart 355 CNC heads, the engine made 940 hp on the engine dyno. The trans is a full manual Turbo 400 with a trans brake. The converter is 9.5" that flash stalls to 5300 rpm. Shifted by B&M Pro Ratchet shifter installe din the factory counsel. The suspension is stock style torque arm but with all chromoly parts from Wolfe Racecraft and Madman Racing. The roll cage is 10 point chromoly. Wheels are Bogart Bolted RT. Kirkey racing seats and all appropriate safety equipmentis in place including window net, harness' and parachute system to help the Aerospace 4 wheel disk brakes stop the car from150 mph plus trap speeds. The dash is uncut and factory gages all work other than speedometer. All lights, blinkers, and even the factory stereo still work.I also have a Autometer tach with shift light and engine vacuum gage. The original SS hood has been replaced by a VFN 6" Sunoco style pin on hood. The car was originally built by Dave Hopper at Hoppertech in Monroe, Michigan but the big block mid and motor plate setup wasdone at Team Z Motorsports. This is a serious race car designed for drag racing and is capable of very low 9 second et at over 150 mph on the engine, with no power adders. The car is ready to go racing as is or add a plate nitrous system and you would have a nice 275 radial car. |
