Car Notes |
2010.08.12 Ebay
Rock Island, Illinois
You are looking at a beautiful 1999 Camaro that is a true SS with t-tops. When I purchased the car in 2005 it had 52,000 miles on it and was in excellent shape. It started out as a 6 speed manual car with all the options. I decided to modify the car to its current state and I have put approx. 10K miles on the car. The car has never been wrecked that I am aware of and I was a body man and painter for several years. The car is in great shape top to bottom and can just about be driven anywhere you are willing to go with a 4.56 gear ratio.
This car was featured on The Speed Channel’s series “Blow it up” in May of 2007. I was asked to go on the show as a spokesperson for the shop “Rev Hard” in Rock Island IL as they were going to feature their “Monster Talon” that made 46lbs of boost. Unfortunately for them the Talon blew up 2 days before the show was going to tape at Cordova Drag way in Cordova IL. I was asked to bring my 1999 Camaro out and see if I could win the show for them. Well, not only did we win the show with this car but I was the only person out of all 5 shows taped that day that was able to drive the car to the track, won the show and was able to fire the car back up and DRIVE the car home 25 miles.
Anyone who purchases the car will get a DVD of the show as it was filmed In May 2007.
As you will see in the taping of the show, Rich Christenson from “Pinks” and the whole Pinks crew signed a bunch of pictures and memorabilia that will go with the car as documentation for it being on the show and winning. Rich Christenson owns the show “Blow it up” as it is a spinoff of “Pinks”.
When the Camaro was on “Blow it Up” it was running 11.11 E.T. at 123mph at that time but the car now runs consistent 10.63 ets at 127.98 mph ALL MOTOR on PUMP GAS. This car will run all day on 91 octane. On an extremely hot day I would throw in 5 gallons of 110 octane just for a precaution.
I have well over $55,000.00 in this car including the 15K I paid for it when I purchased it. I have receipts for all work on the car including all manuals and documentation and they will go with the new owner.
All work on the vehicle was done by a professional or in a professional manner. Specifically the engine was built by Stealy Performance Machine in East Moline IL. They build the top Super stock Engines in the US.
Included are MOST of the updates that has been done to the car but it is impossible to remember everything. This car was put together with a lot of care and attention to detail. I never intended to sell the car so I really didn’t spare any expense.
I have a few other parts that will go with the car like a chrome radiator shroud that will need to be fitted around the ram air system.
I will link the advertisement for the TV show “Blow it up” and also the TV commercials that the car was on.
Below are a list of parts and some labor performed on the vehicle. Most of the labor was done by me so I put no dollar amount on it.
