Spring Hill, Florida
This vehicle is a used 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 convertible. It is an SS clone. The vehicle is red with ablack top and gray interior. The vehicle has 83647 miles as of this writing and is not driven every day. This was a secondary vehicle. This was my wifes car. The vehicle has the 5.7 350 LS1 engine and automatic transmisssion. The VIN number is [VIN REMOVED]. The vehicle does have an SS hood and also the chrome factory 10 spoke SLP SS wheels. The tires are in fair condition. The chrome on the wheels has some peeling, but are not dented, scraped or knicked. The top was just replaced with a new factory top and rear window. It was replaced at the GM factory Chevrolet dealership. The engine is factory stock with no modifications whatsoever. It still has the factory air cleaner too. The air compressor and hose was replaced about 3 thousand miles ago. The AC system blows ice cold. The person we bought it from told me that they put in an aftermarker shift kit in the transmsssion. As he told me this accounts for the rather hard shift from first gear to second. The transmission only does this when the trans is ice cold and the overdrive and all the shift points shift theway it is supposeto. The engine runs good and has had synthetic oil in the vehicle since it was new. It does use a very little bit of oil between oil changes but is hardly noticelable. As with all LS1 engines, the engine is a little noisy when it first starts up when it is cold. The dealership told me that the noise is piston slap and is normal and nothing to worry about. They told me that this happens when you have an aluminum engine block with aluminum pistons. Apparently when the engine heats up the piston expands and the noise goes away. Ever since we had the car, we always let the engine warm up for aboutfive minutes or sobefore we drove it. The Che!vrolet dealership told us that that was the best thing to do. We never had any engine problems with the car. The car does not leak any oil and runs great. It is a very dependable car and always started and never left us stranded. The overall condition of the car is excellent. The interior is not torn and the seats are in excellent condition. The body has no dents and the fenders, doors are not cracked, as they are plastic. No rust is evident on the car either. The bumpers are in good condition and not cracked either. Overall the car is in excellent conditon and is in no need of major repairs. The car could use an oil change as it was changed every 5 throusand miles or so. The car still looks nice and when it is waxed, it shines like new. It gets a lot of looks where ever it goes. The vehicle is available to be inspected and test driven. You can call me at 813-545-XXXX to set up an appointment. The car is located in Spring Hill Florida, which is about one hour north of Tampa. I would not be afraid to drive this vehicle anywhere in the United States. We drove this car from Wisconsin to Florida about five years ago and had no problems. The reserve for the car is 5800.00and is sold as is where is. |
