2010.04.20 Ebay
Yuma, AZ
You are bidding on a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS. This is a one owner, garage kept car
that has a number of modifications to enhance driving and ascetics and has been
my baby for almost ten years since I bought it off of the lot in Northern
California in September of 2000. I’ve put 162,578 miles (almost all highway) on
her in the last ten years, but she still runs like the day I drove her off of
the lot. She has a six-speed
manual transmission (with the annoying factory skip-shift disabled) with Hurst
shifter, Navy Blue Metallic exterior, Ebony leather interior, a six-disc
trunk-mounted CD changer, AM/FM stereo with cassette, power windows and locks,
and t-tops (for those clear sunny days).
This Camaro has been extremely well maintained and has been filled
exclusively with Mobil 1 synthetic oil throughout her life. I’ve added a powder coated black billet
grille with a 1969 “SS” emblem, silver “CAMARO” letters for the decklid, white
gauge faces with aftermarket gauge bezel, and American Racing Torq-thrust “D”
wheels with powder coated “Magnesium” spokes for an all American look. This Camaro has a host of aftermarket
parts, with special attention paid to the ride quality and handling to include:
Suspension: Hotchkis strut tower brace, BMR tubular subframe
connectors, BMR lower control arms with anti-squat brackets, BMR adjustable
panhard rod, BMR 32mm front sway bar, BMR 21mm rear sway bar, Eibach Pro-Kit
springs, and Bilstein shocks and struts.
All bushings are polyurethane.
Induction and exhaust: SLP intake lid, SLP “smooth” bellows,
K&N filter and breather filter, JBA cat-forward ceramic coated “shorty!”
headers (50-state emissions legal), Magnaflow high-flow catalytic converters
(also 50-state emissions legal), a custom built 2.5” round y-pipe (replaced the
restrictive stock oval design), and a Flowmaster muffler so she gives you that
deep rumble versus the rasp and spit of some of the other exhausts out
there. This car also has a current
California smog certificate with the test having been completed in September of
2009.
Driveine: T/A aluminum rear-end girdle (for strength) to
house the Strange Pro-street 3.73 ratio rear end gear.
Braking: Earl’s stainless steel braided brake lines,
Powerslot rotors, and Hawk high performance, low dust brake pads. She will stop on a dime!
In addition to all these aftermarket goodies, this Camaro
comes with a GM Performance Parts custom-fit car cover with “Camaro SS” logo,
“Camaro SS” embroidered floor mats, a Hypertech Power Programmer (in case you’d
like to make future modifications), an OBD II diagnostic scanner, and a Haynes
repair manual (for the do-it-yourself preventative maintenance types).
I’ve taken extremely good care of this car and throughout
her history she has been in only one accident, in which someone tried to merge
into my lane without looking in February 2009. However, there was little more than superficial damage that
led to the replacement of the front right panel and a complete repainting,
which means no rock chip damage! Other
than that, she has been unmolested and shows it! I highly recommend a test-drive if you are nearby so you can
really appreciate this car and how well she runs and handles. I promise that you won’t be
disappointed! This Camaro is also
freshly washed, polished, waxed and detailed and ready for her new home!
Now for the bad news.
The winner of this auction is responsible for submitti!ng a $500 deposit
within 48 hours of close into my PayPal account and also responsible for
payment in full within 7 days of close. Please though, no
trades. In addition, the winner is
responsible for the transportation of this Camaro to her new home, and while
trucking her there sounds great, driving her there will be even better! Trust me, you’ll see. If you have any questions, please call
Sean at (760)696-XXXX and I’ll be happy to answer any and all of your
questions. I hope that you will
get as much enjoyment out of this car as I have. Happy bidding! |
