2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS Z7D Convertible...Let’s talk rare — only 57 Z7D Camaros were built in 2002. The RPO code Z7D was used to force the 35th anniversary wheels and other options on to the SS convertible. All of these cars were built to be used at the 2002 Nascar Brick Yard 400. The first 44 were assigned to drivers based on their qualifying position. This is unit 37 and was assigned to Jimmy Johnson, four-time consecutive Cup Champion. These cars were used for pre-race activities and various parades — they were not raced. After the Brickyard weekend they were distributed to Chevrolet dealerships across the North Central Region. This car was assigned to Voss Chevrolet, 100 Loop Rd., Centerville, Ohio. It was titled in the dealer’s name until the summer of 2008 when the current owner purchased it as a used car. It has just under 7,160 actualmiles on it and is in concours condition with a spotless undercarriage and engine compartment. All of the original decals are in excellent shape. The original window sticker is signed by Jimmy Johnson, the special license plate issued by the State of Indiana, #437, is on the car, plus both original key fobs (the trunk keys have not had the code blanks punched out) and the original press packet that is serial number specific, all go with the car. VIN: [VIN REMOVED]. Vehicle is off-site - please phone for an appointment to view the car.
