Car Notes
2009.05.14 Ebay

Jasonville, IN, United States

Hey everybody. Up for sale is my 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS, SLP #2958. It is an Onyx Black coupe, 6 speed hardtop with 29,659 miles and is in near perfect condition. Has every available factory and SLP option. I bought it with 6,000 miles on 2/24/07 from Community Motors in Oak Forest, Illinois. I was the second buyer of the car. The first buyer had ordered it from Community Motors new in 2002, owned it for several years and took immaculate care of it while only putting 6,000 miles on it in 5 years. He then traded it back in to Community towards a new vehicle. I have owned the car ever since and now am selling it to buy a full size truck. The car is nearly perfect with only a few flaws. The back bumper is scratched on the back edge from where someone backed into me last fall (shown in pics). There is a very small ding right above the driver's side rear wheel well, but it was too small to see in pics. The paint is great other than that. Car has been garaged all its life and i've stored it winters. Has only been driven in rain a few times. I had 35th Anniversary stripes painted on it last August by a professional local body shop. They are a very metallic silver and look much better in person than in the pics. Y3F Sport Appearance package was professionally installed after purchased (ground effects, not factory option on SS). It has a powerful 5.7L LS1 V8 which was factory rated at 345 HP, and a smooth shifting 6-speed transmission. Everything is in great mechanical condition. The interior is flawless and has never been smoked in. Leather is in great condition, no stains or anything on carpet, no scratches or tears anywhere. Has factory Hurst short-throw shifter. I've added many performance and appearance mods which are listed below.

GM/SLP Options:

* SS package, including SS hood with functional ram air, 10-spoke chrome SS wheels, SS spoiler, Hurst shifter
* Bilstein Ultra Performance suspension system
* Auburn High Torque performance limited-slip differential
* Traction control
* Power windows, door locks, mirrors, 6-way power driver's seat (has newer driver side window motor)
* Monsoon sound system - driver door speaker rattles a little sometimes. I had different speakers and stereo in it before and it just started after i put the stock stuff back in so i'm not sure if speaker is bad or maybe just loose...it sounds fine, just rattles every once in a while.
* 12-disc CD changer mounted in rear, and still has single in-dash CD player also
* Cruise control, fog lamps, remote keyless entry/rear hatch release, alarm system

Appearance:

* Y3F Sport Appearance package
* Stainless grille with SS badge
* Custom painted SS badges - red w/ silver outline
* Mobil One oil fill cap and label
* Custom stainless nose badge
* Stainless rear "CAMARO" inserts
* Custom painted engine bay, valve covers, fuse panel covers, airbox platform, front brace, cruise control motor cover
* Custom made fuel rail covers, black and chrome with 35th Anniversary emblems
* Custom head plate with 35th Anniv. emblem and "SLP #2958"
* Tinted windows with eyebrow - driver window is scratched in front part of window. This happened when i had a body shop replace the window motor. It's not bad, but it's there.
* Painted brake calipers - silver with "Camaro SS" decals on front calipers

Performance:

* Whisper lid - carbon fiber
* K&N filter
* Throttle body bypass kit
* SLP 85mm mass air flow sensor
* MSD plug wires
* NGK spark plugs
* Pacesetter long tube headers, Jet-Hot ceramic coated
* Mufflex off-road Y-pipe w/Flowmaster merge collector
* Stainless steel cutout
* Rear 02 simulators
* GMMG chambered cat-back exhaust system
* Magnaflow dual/dual stainless exhaust tips
* LS6 oil pump
* ARP Pro-Series rod bolts
* LS6 PCV conversion (changes valley cover to reduce oil consumption and really clean up engine bay)
* Prothane transmission mount and torque arm bushing
* BMR tubular subframe connectors
* Optima Red Top battery
* AIR pump has been removed and code tuned out to prevent SES light, but i still have it and it will be included in sale in case you have to re-install it to pass emissions testing.
* Performance tuned by Jesse Bubb for all mods
* Smooth bellows

Other:

* Nitto NT555 tires, 275/40ZR17, bought at 18K miles. Front about 85%, rear about 50% tread.
* Skip-shift eliminator
* Copper header gaskets
* Dyno sheet included. This was done by first owner, made 326.4 hp and 343.0 ft-lbs at the rear wheels. This was before full exhaust and performance tune. I'd guess it should be around 360/375 now.
* Includes 2 sets of keys, 2 remotes, SLP certificate of birth, factory window papers, receipts for most mods and parts
