San Antonio, TX, United States 2001 Chevy Camaro SS (Black on Black, Red Logo) Car is in solid shape and could probably smoke newer 5.0's Has been my baby and everyday driver for going on 4 years. Mostly highway miles as I work in an office a few miles away. Maintenance- Consistently well maintained - I have all service records for the car while in my ownership (which is most of it's life). Carfax report available. Oil changes (filter too) have been completed every 3-4k miles using ONLY Royal Purple Synthetic Racing Oil. Transmission Fluid, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Diff Fluid changes have all been completed. I currently have Yokohama's on it that are regularly rotated. I have so far replaced a window regulator, both Catalytic converters and a KNOCK sensor. Roof was replaced by GM in a factory recall. I had my mechanic take apart the engine and custom clean it (Decarbon the engine, clean/service fuel injectors/rail, valves, cylinders) in 2007. It is a beast. Features - Car is the SS package. 5.7L V8, power windows, power driver seat, power door locks. Driver/Passenger side air bag. Auto Transmission, Leather interior and a great sound system. Factory deck is in the car and there is an uninstalled 6-disc CD changer in trunk. I'm sad to sell it. Condition - I have washed and waxed the car exterior 2x month. There are no holes in the leather and the interior/upholstery is cleaned 2x month also. New vinyl floor mats and the original SS cloth floor mats look very good. There are small signs of everyday use here and there, but the car is in marvelous visual shape. The spoiler light is not present (I bought it that way). GM has quoted the part as costing $299 (includes fixture and light) but I believe a refurb/used part would cost 1/3 of that. I doubt it would require labor and have never replaced it myself because it passes state inspection fine without it. Car is being auctioned off in AS IS CONDITION, WITH NO WARRANTY. |
