2007.12.08 Ebay
Nevada, Iowa, United States
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a SHOW and GO car. This car has won several custom shows through out the area. I do not know why Ebay automatically added and shows a 3.8 V6, that was never a correct motor for this car. This Camaro SS Convertible started out with the standard LSI V8 engine with a 6 speed manual transmission. For you pure car-guys, you may have heard of Berger Chevrolet Super Car upgrades with the Phase One and Phase Two motors. This engine was designed and has a one off, specially cut cam completed by one of the Berger Motors technicians. OK, I simply didn't want to pay $80,000-100,000 for a Super car but I wanted the overall performance and look. While this is not a Berger Super car it will be a close as you can get without the Super car price tag. The cam was installed locally with the recommneded honeycomb value springs and LSC long tube headers. The computer was specifically reprogramed for these modifications. I had the cam done for drivability and performance. The car will idle & drive around town very nicely but when you give it it's head she will flat out run. The engine has been dyno'd at a little over 445 horse to the rear tires. I show 430 on the hood.
I have added an electric cut out to the exhaust system which allows you to push a toggle to open or close up the exhaust system. I finished out the exhaust with a chambered exhaust system with stainless oval tips. I have had a Corvette clutch installed to handle the additional power.
You can see by the pictures that the car has been lowered 1 1/2 inches all the way around. The suspension is a progressive suspension with frame supports to eliminate any potential flex. An absolute must for a convertible with or without the added horsepower. I have added a set of Custom Craiger SS wheels with gray centers and chrome outter ring. You will not see these wheels on another Camaro. To finish the overall look, I had silver custom stripes with hugger orange pinstripes added.
To make this car truly one of a kind I have added the Lambo style doors and the rear taillight roll bar. The bar did not cut up the interior and should not be confused with a roll cage. It is for looks and not a structural addition. The tail lights are Alltecca lights which changes up the look very nicely.
There is no way to truly describe this car and the looks it gets when it starts and is running. I had the cam cut for optimal horsepower and that old school cam sound. The combination of performance and looks is outstanding.
So if you are looking for performance and looks, this car is for you. I am selling the car because I am preparing space for a new 2008 Dodge Challenger. Ok, for those curious types. Obviously, I am not a kid - I built this Camaro the way I would have liked to when I was young. The starting bid is substancially below what I have in this car but I can only afford to have just so many toys in my garage.
Buyers will be responsible to contact me within 24 hours. If you are contacted for a 2nd chance offer it will not be me. Seems to many people have figured out how to beat the system anymore. The car is a excellent condition. Car is sold with no implied warranty, 'as is'. |
