| 1997 SS 30th Anniversary Convertible
1997 Camaro SS# 1406 30th Anniversary SS Build# 0439 SS Options: 6 Speed with short throw Hurst Shifter, Composite Hood, Forced Air Induction System, Engine Oil Cooler, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, Revised Rear Decklid Spoiler, 30th Anniversary Trim Package, Leather Seats & AM\FM\Tape\CD Changer. Rick replaced the original 16x9's with 17" x 9" Arctic White SS Alloy Wheel found on all coupes mounting BFG Comp T\A 275/40ZR 17, and the SLP (with the infamous "cone of silence") Stainless Performance Exhaust System with the superb flowing and sounding Braxxton Stainless Performance Chambered Exhaust System. (Contact: Matt Murphy at GMMG, Inc in Marietta, GA.) History: A total of 3,038 Camaro SS optioned production cars were built in 1997. 957 were built with the base Anniversary Package. Of these, 448 were convertibles and of those only 251 were 30th Anniversary Edition. 136 six speed and 115 automatics. The 4th gen convertibles hard plastic rear well cover makes a great seat. The sharp SS has performed well in UGA Home Coming and Athens Christmas parades. |
