Missouri City, TX Milege: 252 Selling Price: $60,500 + fees ______________________ This 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS 30th Anniversary Edition coupe is one of a reported 100 examples produced for the US market that were modified by SLP Engineering with a 5.7-liter LT4 V8. The car was originally delivered to Watson Chevrolet of Tucson, Arizona, and it is finished in Arctic White with Hugger Orange stripes over Arctic White leather upholstery. Other modifications performed by SLP included installing a Torsen limited-slip differential, a Hurst short-throw shifter, a lightweight driveshaft and flywheel, a Bilstein Ultra Sport suspension package, and an engine-oil cooler. Additional equipment includes 17″ alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, power accessories, air conditioning, cruise control, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted 12-disc CD changer. The car was first registered in Arizona and spent time in Texas prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2019. This Camaro SS LT4 has 252 miles and is now offered with window stickers, manufacturer’s literature and accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. Each 30th Anniversary Camaro equipped with the LT4 engine was a coupe model finished in Arctic White (10) with Hugger Orange stripes featuring SS and 330 HP badging. Additional exterior details include a composite hood with forced-air induction, an integrated rear wing, front fog lights, and body-color side moldings. A paint imperfection near the right headlight and a dent in the passenger-side rocker panel are shown up close in the image gallery below. White-finished 17″ five-spoke wheels feature SS-branded center caps and are wrapped in 275/40 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the car is equipped with a Bilstein Ultra Sport suspension package installed by SLP Engineering. The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in Arctic White leather with embroidered 30th Anniversary logos on the front headrests. The doors, dashboard, carpets, and two sets of 30th Anniversary-embroidered floor mats are finished in contrasting black. Other amenities include remote keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power accessories, and a AM/FM cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted 12-disc CD changer. The leather-wrapped steering wheel wears factory protective plastic and frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 252 miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the seller. The 5.7-liter LT4 V8 is equipped with a forced-air induction system, an engine-oil cooler, and a lightweight flywheel. SLP rated the engine at 330 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque when new, and the seller reports that fluids were replaced in 2021. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with an AAM cast aluminum cover. The drivetrain utilizes an SLP-installed lightweight driveshaft. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery. Manufacturer’s literature and accessories are included in the sale along with two sets of keys. The window sticker shows initial delivery to Watson Chevrolet of Tuscon, Arizona, as well as factory colors and options.
